Privacy policy

The short version: we collect as little as possible, we never sell your information, and you can ask us to delete it.

Browsing the site

You can read everything without an account. We count page views and button clicks as daily totals only, without storing IP addresses or setting tracking cookies. Our web host keeps standard server logs for security.

If you subscribe, we store your email address, when you agreed and where you signed up. We use it only to send the newsletter. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing stops all emails.

Accounts

If you create an account, we store your name, email, a securely scrambled version of your password, the books you save and your reading progress. You can delete your account at any time from your account settings.

Book discussions

Posts you write are shown with the name you choose. We review posts before they appear and remove anything abusive.

Links to other sites

When you click a link to Amazon, Amazon may set cookies so it can credit us for a purchase. Links may pass through Geniuslink, which records basic click information such as country and device type. Some cover images load from Open Library, embedded videos load from YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, and fonts load from Google Fonts.
